Email to VB CAble just gets me their standard install our mixer comment. However, I wish to add a couple more receivers to monitor on Fldigi but I need a couple more Virtual Cables. I am using VB Cable which offers up to three Virtual Audio Cables.

Best way to test FLDIGI is to feed an audio recording into your sound card from external source.I have SDR Play currently monitoring three freqs on two bands and feeding the signals into three separate windows of Fldigi to receive the signals for each. Accidentally turning that "on" can really turn things upside down - make sure it is not on (green). Another sneaky problem can be the "Reverse" Rv button on FLDIGI lower right. When I moved from WinXP to Win7 I had some trouble with setting up the audio devices to properly feed the audio from one app(SDR Console) to the otther(fldigi). I am running an SDR Play feeding Fldigi on Win7. It's very robust and works wonderfully when properly configured. I have been running FLDIGI since it first came out.

Some of the audio sound systems within windows vista and beyond have some really screwy setups - but there are some really good instructions as to how to set them up. Using the virtual audio cable should work, but I have had trouble with some of that software on Win7.
The result can be that it appears you have a good psk signal into FLdigi but the "acoustically coupled" signal can be sufficiently distorted to render only gibberish. First It can falsely appear that the audio from ur SDR is routed directly to FLDIGI - when in fact the computers microphone (or web cam mic) is actually picking up the audio via the computers speakers.
